Dodgers Still In The Mix To Acquire Corey Kluber

The Cleveland Indians made their starting pitchers Corey Kluber and Trevor Bauer available in trades early this offseason. Since then, the Dodgers have been interested in acquiring Kluber.

According to Jon Morosi, the trade talks involving Corey Kluber have continued this week. The Dodgers, Brewers, Phillies, and Reds are the 4 teams involved in those talks.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner would be a great addition to the Dodgers starting rotation alongside Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler.

Kluber went 20-7 with a with 222 strikeouts and just 34 walks in 215 innings, being named an All-Star for the third consecutive season. Acquiring the 32-year-old will not be cheap at all though since he is still under control for three more seasons at around $52 million. The final two years of the contract are team options. The Dodgers have outfielders that Cleveland wants to acquire in part of this deal.
