Dodgers Drop Game 1 Of The World Series

After throwing 15 pitches in Game 7 of the NLCS Saturday, Clayton Kershaw had a quick turn around to pitch Game 1 of the World Series. Coming into this game, Chris Sale vs. Clayton Kershaw might be one of the best pitching matchups of all-time in a World Series.

Clayton Kershaw's final line was: 4+, 7 H, 5 ER, 3 BB (1 IBB), 5 SO with 79 pitches and 59 strikes to go along with that. Kershaw and the Dodgers knew coming into the game that Game 1 was going to be in a hostile environment. During the game, Kershaw definitely heard the taunting coming from the Red Sox fans.

The biggest momentum change in the game was when Eduardo Nunez hit the three-run shot in the bottom of the 7th inning to blow the game wide open. Dodgers were only down one run up until that point and missed out on the opportunity to capitalize.

The Dodgers will get a chance to split the series tomorrow night and send it back to Los Angeles 1-1. It will be David Price vs. Ryu.
