Kurt Helin on the Pau Gasol trade rumors: "I think the exit strategy is definitely Gasol. It’s time. If they’re going to do this, and this is what Mike D’Antoni thinks he has to do for the system and if it’s what they’re going to do, then he’s the guy to move. The problem is simply that it’s not going to be that simple to move him with a $19.2 million salary at age 32 in a season in which he’s missed a bunch of games with bad knees. There’s not going to be a lineup of teams saying ‘Hey, we’d love to give you some young athletic wings’. It’s going to be interesting to see if they’re going to do it now or in the summer but if they do it in the summer then they have to ride out the rest of the season with this roster. I mean this looked like a dispirited team at the end of the night, didn’t it? This is an older roster. It wasn’t something that’s just going to fit into a system. And if we learned one thing from Mike D’Antoni watching him in New York it’s that he doesn’t bend his system to the players; the players will bend to his system and they’re going to have to get different ones."
