One thing I've learned since moving to LA is that there is a lot to love here.  The weather is amazing.  Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are mere miles away.  And there is never a lack of amazing things to do on any given night.  But one of the most beautiful aspects of LA - to me at least - is the never-ending supply of amazing basketball.  With 2 NBA teams - there's just more to love!  So to celebrate my new-found love of LA basketball, I take you on a short journey back through this 2012-13 season.

Back in the pre-season, Clippers center Ryan Hollins played an amazing game against the Golden State Warriors.  His post-game interview, however, seemed to be sabotaged by his teammates.  Was this the first sign of that amazing Clipper chemistry that we've come to see this season?



It doesn't matter how many times I watch that, it makes me crack up every time.

Speaking of cracking up, the resident crack-up of the Lakers, Metta World Peace, knew before the season ever started that the new-look Lakers were going to have problems.  So to figure out how he and his new teammates could work better together, he enlisted the help of a shrink... or two.  Or three.  Why has the word shrink never seemed more appropriate?



Ahh, Metta... you can be so likeable when you want to.  Except when you're doggin' other teams' [former] head coaches... Like you did Avery Johnson back in a November win against the Nets...



But alas, Metta always knows how to charm a crowd.  I love how he can take a complete dunk failure and turn it into a little victory for himself...

Someone who needs no luck is Kobe Bryant.  He also needs no introduction, which is why I'm going to stop typing and just show you this video.  I'm sure you've all seen this, but man... if this is not just the sickest commercial ever made, I really don't know what is.



LOOK at that last shot... just keeps on movin' man...

Shortly after we celebrated the new year, Kobe joined Twitter, and we began #CountingOn everything, word got out that the NBA would be removing the "center" position from All-Star voting.  Literally tens of centers were devastated -- searching, just trying to figure out their next move.  Luckily, Dwight Howard was there.



Ok Dwight... cheesin' it up there a little bit don't you think?

After Chris Bosh had probably the most embarassing weekend of his career for the East, next came the trade deadline.  And one Pau Gasol, accustomed to years of trade rumors and short-selling from LA, was particularly affected.



Hmm, normally I always have to change the channel when those Sarah McLachlan commercials come on...

And finally, I leave you with this... the perfect image of where LA basketball is at today... and where it's headed...



Amazing.  Sheer amazingness.
