Clay Helton Says The Door Is Open For Jack Sears To Return To USC

USC was hoping for a bounce back year coming off a 5-7 season back in 2018. Those hopes could be dashed due to the health status of its starting quarterback JT Daniels.

Last night, the sophomore JT Daniels was carted from the field during the second quarter of Saturday's home opener against Fresno State after he was tackled awkwardly during a sack.

Daniels fumbled the ball, which ended the Trojans' drive and the first half as the Bulldogs took a knee on their final possession of the first 30 minutes. He had to be helped off the field and was unable to put any pressure on his right leg. Daniels did return to the sidelines on crutches.

Following the game, coach Clay Helton was asked if Jack Sears who just entered the transfer portal could possibly come back to USC and stated that he is always welcomed back if he decides to do so.
