Corey Seager Exits The Game With A Hamstring Injury

Philadelphia Phillies v Los Angeles Dodgers

Corey Seager left Tuesday night’s Freeway Series game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Angels after hurting his hamstring.

Seager was on second with nobody out in the top of the ninth. He led off against Robles with an infield single and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Alex Verdugo then singled to center, which should have scored Seager. But he pulled up as he approached third base and was grabbing at his hamstring.

Though third base coach Dino Ebel was signaling Seager to head home, the shortstop stopped due to his injury.

Seager was 3-for-4 in the game with a walk. After missing most of last season to undergo Tommy John surgery, he has returned and played in 67 games this season.
