Dodgers Recognize Winner Of LA County Public Works' RBI Recycle Challenge

For the fourth season, Los Angeles County Public Works has worked in partnership with the Dodgers Foundation, the Dodgers Radio Network and AM 570 LA Sports to encourage fans to recycle bottles and cans in an effort to the strike out landfill waste.

Community outreach was performed through the Dodgers RBI Recycle Challenge which offered teams that play on both Dodger Dreamfields and other field across L.A. County.

The top three winning RBI teams were treated to a Dodgers game and the pitcher from the team that recycled the most threw out the first pitch to Justin Turner, the voice of the radio campaign.

The three teams recycled the most beverage containers are:

1st place: Blue Bombers - Roosevelt Park

2nd Place: Doyers - Belvedere Park

3rd Place: Coach Jon - Roosevelt Park

The players and coaches from each of the top winning teams received tickets to attend the Padres vs. Dodgers game on Friday, August 24 2018 as the prize for recycling the most containers. The 1st place Blue Bombers appeared on the field before the start of the game while the 2nd and 3rd place teams were seated in a group section and received a pan from the DodgerVision cameras to recognize their performance.
