Throwing back a few drinks is a pastime synonymous with Super Bowl Sunday, and this weekend, AAA Northern California is doing its part to deter impaired driving.
From 6PM on Super Bowl Sunday through Monday, Feb. 5 at 6AM local time, those in the Bay Area will be eligible for free tows up to 10 miles. Even better, you do not have to be a AAA Member to qualify.
Taking part in the program is as simple as following the three steps laid out below:
• Call 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357)
• State that they need a "Tipsy Tow."
• Provide the driver's name, home address, phone number and vehicle/driver location.
While AAA is covering up to 10 miles, riders can be expected to be charged standard towing rates for any additional travel.
