Los Angeles Dodgers hitting coach Mark McGwire joined JT ‘the Brick’ and Tomm Looney after the Dodgers clinched a spot in the NLCS, and he told the guys that he has always thought of Yasiel Puig as a son to him.
Mark McGwire: "When you have five-tools like that, or I call it six tools because he’s such a smart cat. You just sit down with him and have a conversation, have him understand what’s going on; he’s such a quick learner. He and I have had such a great relationship since the first day of spring training; I feel like he’s my son. It’s just one of those things where you just have to sit down and talk with him. And he understands. You’re just seeing a glimpse of what this guy can do”.
